What is myYOGA? - CLASS DISCRIPTION

myYOGA – EVERYONE WELCOME

All classes are taught by Michelle and are designed to suit individual student needs. As a Yoga Therapist and seasoned Yoga practitioner Michelle has developed a system of Yoga she calls myYOGA; it is Yoga designed for you, to maintain your body and mind, regulate your hormones and emotions, focus your mind, detox your system and cultivate energy so that you can thrive. This system pulls from decades of practice, teaching and mentorship. These alignment based classes bring a mind body connection and understanding of movement that empowers students to continue to live their best lives doing what they love to do minimizing the potential for injury. As a skilled body reader and intuitive healer, Michelle is able to recommend specific homework routines to help eliminate repetitive strain injury, train optimal range of motion and create focus to help you reach your health goals. Expect individual attention, customized alignment, a strong focus on breath, meditation and results. Students are taught how to work hard where they are weak and learn to relax where they tend to over work to bring balance and connection improving all body functions. Students are invited at each class to make requests so Michelle can customize classes around specific needs. This myYOGA is for you regardless of your experience,  Michelle has an incredible gift of structuring classes to challenge the most experienced practitioner while embracing the needs of new students. Michelle is able to truly help students reach their goals and pursue their potential in this non-drop in the ongoing educational and healing experience.

 

BASICS AND BREATH

A slower class in which more time is spent understanding alignment, function movement and personal mobiltiy. A great fit for students who are recovering from an injury, wish to build a stronger mind body connection and prefer to go slow and understand the poses. Great for beginars and experienced practisioners who want to work hard to build muscles, create flexablity and utalize breathing techniques to maintain a healthier life.

INTERMEDIATE PLUS 

For more experiences, students and teachers wishing to go a little deeper into the traditional practice of Yoga and explore advanced asana including backbends and inversions. Students are required to have an understanding of their personal edge without pushing past it, be able to understand and follow verbal instructions to a tee.  Some home practice is required and attending multiple classes a week is recomended.

* NOT SUITABLE FOR MAKE UP CLASSES EXCEPT ON A HOLIDAY MONDAY WHEN ATTENDING BOTH THE 4:30 PM AND 6PM CLASSES CAN BE COMBINED AS A WORKSHOP.

Policies - STUDIO & BILLING

PAYMENT POLICY
  • New students register for the one-month minimum.
  • All group classes require an automatic monthly payment and will be automatically billed on the 15th of each month.
  • Students pay for their first month at full cost at the time of registration regardless of class start date,  the second monthly payment will be pro-rated to reflect students who start mid-month their first month.
  • Students can cancel automatic monthly withdrawals before the 15th of the month BEFORE the month they wish to cancel classes. IE: you will be billed on June 15th for July 1-31 to cancel you must give 2 weeks notice by the 14th of the month before you wish to cancel.
  • No refunds for late cancelation, students must cancel by the 14th of each month to avoid paying for the following month.
  • Students registered for over a year can put their membership on pause for a month one time a year and not loose their spot in class or make-up classes. 
  • Make-up classes can not be used after registration is canceled or when registration is paused. 
      MISSING  CLASSES
      • To use attend a different class then the students are registered in, they must post the class they will be missing 3 hours minimum before the time of the scheduled class using our Instgram calander.
      • Once class is posted students can make up classes in any scheduled live zoom class,  by signing up for take an avalable studio class spot using our Instgram calander page or take a recorded HD class from our Yoga video library which is included with studio membership.
      • Students can also have a friend join you for an avaliable studio or zoom class as a make-up.
      • Please use your make-up classes within a month of missing your class
      • Make-up classes are not valid once registration ends.
      • We ask that students use the honour system and track the number of classes they miss and make up.
      ONLINE, IN STUDIO & LIBRARY CANCELATION POLICY
      • Please use the Registration / Cancelation form to cancel or change your registration and to update payment information.
      • Students are welcome to cancel or change their registration with a minimum of 2 weeks notice. All group class and library membership changes or cancellations must be made BEFORE the 15th of the month previous to the month you wish to stop attending.
      • EXAMPLE: If you wish to stop attending or change group classes on February 1st you must cancel or change classes on or before January 14th.

      I have been a yoga instructor for nearly 30 years. Michelle is my favourite hatha yoga teacher. Her classes are always right on, fascinating, and challenging at all levels. I feel every movement is guided perfectly, preparing me to go further into my own practice, balancing what i need to balance and healing where i need to heal. She offers something for everyone.
